GROUND BASED LIDAR
Enhancing Wind Measurement: Ground-Based LiDAR Solutions
At 3Dot Energy, we are committed to advancing wind energy technology and optimizing wind farm operations. One of the key components of effective wind resource assessment and turbine performance optimization is accurate wind measurement. Our ground-based LiDAR solutions offer a cutting-edge approach to gathering precise wind data, enabling wind farm operators to make informed decisions and maximize energy production. Let’s explore the features, specifications, and benefits of our ground-based LiDAR systems, including offerings from Move Laser and WindCube.
Introduction to Ground-Based LiDAR Technology:
Ground-based LiDAR technology revolutionizes the way wind measurements are conducted in the renewable energy industry. By emitting laser pulses and analyzing their reflection off aerosols, dust, and other particles in the atmosphere, LiDAR systems can accurately measure wind speed, direction, and other atmospheric parameters at various heights above ground level. This non-intrusive and remote sensing approach offers several advantages over traditional meteorological mast installations, including cost-effectiveness, versatility, and ease of deployment.
Move Laser’s MOLAS LiDAR:
We 3dot Energy supply ground based LiDAR (MOLAS B300) and Nacelle mounted LiDAR (MOLAS NL) by Nanjing Movelaser Co. Ltd. in Indian market.
It has been tested and calibrated by Deutsche WINDGUARD, Germany (the world’s leading wind assessment agency), and China Meteorological Administration. According to the calibration it shows a very good data availability of more than 99% and shows an excellent correlation to cup anemometers in terms of 10 min averages of the horizontal wind speed component. The square of correlation coefficient about 0.99.
It has deployed in various places in China and some systems has deployed in India. Our engineers are trained by Movelaser for installation, configuration, commissioning, maintenance and on-site repairing works. LiDAR device can be supply on basis of procurement and also on monthly rental basis.
